3.1 Site visitation tracking
Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user interaction. We use this data to determine the number of people using our site, to better understand how they find and use our web pages and to see their journey through the website.
Although GA records data such as your geographical location, device, internet browser and operating system, none of this information personally identifies you to us. GA also records your computer’s IP address which could be used to personally identify you but Google do not grant us access to this. We consider Google to be a third party data processor (see section 6.0 below).
GA makes use of cookies, details of which can be found on Google’s developer guides. FYI our website uses the analytics.js implementation of GA.

Should you choose to add a guestbook post or comment to any posts that we have published on the website, the name and email address you enter with your comment will be saved to this website’s database, along with your computer’s IP address and the time and date that you submitted the comment. This information is only used to identify you as a contributor to the comment section of the respective blog post and is not passed on to any of the third party data processors detailed below. Only the name provided will be shown on the public-facing website.

The email content is then decrypted by our local computers and devices.

If you choose to join our email newsletter, the email address that you submit to us will be added to our customer database.

5.0 About this website’s server
This website is hosted by Modern Websites in the UK. The server is located just outside Vancouver, Canada and is managed by In2net.
Some of the data centre’s more notable security features are as follows:
    •    The facility is monitored by security cameras all around the building.
    •    Security guards will be on duty during after hours.
    •    All  server cabinets are secured in locked rooms and locked cabinets.
    •   All clients have their own access card and cabinet key to enter the server room and open only their own cabinet.
    •    This website server is mounted in a managed cabinet which only accessible by In2net staff.

    •    All traffic (transferral of files) between this website and your browser is encrypted and delivered over HTTPS.

6.1 Facewatch facial recognition
Facewatch facial recognition is used at some of our sites for the prevention of unlawful acts including theft and violence against our staff and customers.  We supply CCTV images of people entering our protected sites to Facewatch and receive alerts from Facewatch (www.facewatch.co.uk) if these match known subjects of interest.  We display clear signage in all sites where Facewatch is used.

We will report any unlawful data breach of this website’s database or the database(s) of any of our third party data processors to any and all relevant persons and authorities within 72 hours of the breach if it is apparent that personal data stored in an identifiable manner has been stolen.
